ASUS Announces ROG STRIX XG27AQMR WQHD E-Sports Gaming Display With A 300Hz Refresh Rate

ASUS has unveiled its newest offering in gaming and e-sports display, the ROG Strix XG27AQMR. This display boasts a 27-inch WQHD panel and an incredibly fast 300 MHz refresh rate. The ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQMR gaming display incorporates HDR technology that is certified with DisplayHDR 600. With this new display, users can enjoy a 77% increase in usable screen compared to traditional 1080p or FHD displays. This means that 1920×1080 resolutions are becoming less common, and the newer standard of 2560×1440 is gaining popularity as it provides increased productivity.

The new premium display employs IPS technology to achieve a quick 1 ms Gray to Gray (GtG) response time, resulting in sharp visuals even with high frame rates. This latest gaming display is also NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium compatible, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience without any tearing. These features work together to take any gaming experience to the next level.

ASUS has implemented ELMB SYNC, a low-motion-blur technology that works alongside VESA Adaptive-Sync, to eliminate ghosting and tearing, while also delivering the highest possible frame rates and superior, next-level visuals. The new ROG Strix XG27AQMR display boasts a 97% DCI-P3 and 120% sRGB color gamut, which guarantees that users will get the most precise colors possible. Furthermore, all color accuracy on this new display has been factory calibrated, ensuring that users will be able to experience the results right away.

Enabling High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology on the new ROG Strix XG27AQMR e-sports display results in a wider range of colors, brighter whites, deeper blacks, and a peak brightness of 600 nits, which meets the DisplayHDR 600 certification requirement. Additionally, the company offers two distinct HDR modes, ASUS Cinema HDR and ASUS Gaming HDR, which adjust to the type of content the user is viewing or playing.

The ROG Strix XG27AQMR gaming display also boasts Dynamic Shadow Boost, which enhances visibility in dark areas of the screen, providing users with better clarity in difficult-to-see portions. Furthermore, ASUS’s exclusive GamePlus hotkey offers users numerous enhancements, allowing them to maximize their gaming experiences. Professional gamers offered feedback to ASUS when developing the new GamePlus functionality, enabling users to practice and enhance their skills while playing their favorite shooting games.

Regarding connectivity, the ROG Strix XG27AQMR gaming display comes equipped with two HDMI 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, a single DisplayPort 1.4 port, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports. The display is also adjustable by height, swivel, pivot, and tilt, ensuring that users can easily find the ideal viewing angle for any circumstance.

At the moment, ASUS has not revealed the pricing and availability of the ROG Strix XG27AQMR gaming display, but the company is expected to announce these details in the upcoming months. You can find more information about the display on ASUS’s official website.
