ASUS To Recall ROG Z690 Hero Motherboards Affected By The Design Flaw

ASUS will have to revise its ROG Z690 Hero motherboards. According to reports, the company will coordinate with government agencies to start the recall procedure of the motherboards impacted by the design defect.

ASUS Z690 Hero Capacitors

It has been proved that Buildzoid had given the correct information. The company has now officially confirmed that some Z690 Hero motherboards have a defect with a faulty capacitor around the memory. Due to this defect, some users might see an unusual 53 debug code which implies that the memory is not being detected. However it is not a big deal as the warranty covers such problems easily but in extreme cases, Hero motherboards, due to the flaw, can catch fire.

Interestingly, the YouTuber managed to find the reason for the Z690 Hero problems by analyzing the photographs shared by users and by comparing them to working samples.

The company recently confirmed the defect and posted an official statement on their Facebook page. The company has confirmed the replacement policy that the customers can claim if their motherboards are affected by the production flaw by comparing their product code. ASUS will work with government agencies to initiate a replacement program.
