Final Thoughts
The Azulle Byte3 is a pretty cool little system. Available in multiple configurations with regards to CPU, RAM, and storage, the Byte3 is a compact, and fanless mini PC that has a lot going for it. Our Intel J3455-equipped system also came configured with 4GB of DDR3 and 32GB of eMMC storage. There is an M.2 2280 SATA port, as well as a 2.5″ drive option with SATA connectivity. A good bundle of ports and connectivity options are also available, and both wired and wireless connections are included.
While our benchmarking results are nothing to write home about, that doesn’t mean that the Byte3 doesn’t perform. In fact, the Byte3 performed quite nicely in tasks that it was designed for; everyday use and a bit of multimedia playback. In our everyday use of the system, we played content from our Plex server, both HD and UHD, and had no performance issues – everything looked great. Pair that up with the included remote, and you get a bit of wireless control. However, we really think the Byte3 shines when paired up with the Azulle Lynk multifunction remote. This adds a ton of control over your system, and includes illuminated buttons and a full QWERTY keyboard.
Our only true complaint about the Byte3 is that our review sample only had 32GB of storage. With the included Windows 10 Pro already installed, you don’t get much room for adding applications or games. The 64GB option is definitely recommended, and if you really need more storage, 2.5″ SSDs are very affordable, and will set you up for a long time.
