be quiet! Dark Base Pro 901 Case Review

be quiet! is really known for their power supplies and CPU coolers, but they do make some really great cases as well. When it comes to really high-end cases that tick all of the boxes for you, there really aren’t too many to choose from. be quiet! had one of these cases in their Dark Base 900, which we liked quite a lot when we reviewed it back in 2017. It was due for an update and now we have one in the new Dark Base Pro 901! This new case is again touted as a high-end case with tons of features, modularity, and options. The case ships with three Silent Wings 4 PWM fans, interchangeable covers for either silent or maximum airflow, support for E-ATX motherboards and radiators up to 420mm, a motherboard tray that can be flipped, and so much more! Is this the ultimate case for your high-end build in 2023? Read on as we take a look!

Special thanks to be quiet! For providing us with the Dark Base Pro 900 case to review.

Packaging

The Dark Base Pro 901 comes in your typical case box. On the front we have an illustration of the case itself. Flipping over to the back there is an exploded view of the case showing all of the different parts.

Opening the box up you’ll find the case nicely protected by two large pieces of Styrofoam and a cloth cover.

The case actually comes with the largest set of accessories that I’ve ever seen come with a case before. The accessories are separated into two boxes. The larger box houses a VGA holder for the inverted layout, a mesh front panel, and fan / Radiator bracket for multi mounting panel. The smaller box has the main VGA holder, all of your mounting hardware, velcro ties, and ODD bracket.
