A Look Inside the be quiet! Light Base 500 LX Case
To release the main side panel of the case there is a small indent towards the top of the case at the back. This allows you to pull on the panel and release it. It will sort of just sit there, which is nice.

With the side panel removed we can see how be quiet! has designed the case with a dual compartment design. The main compartment is going to allow you to completely show off your system. As far as motherboard support we have support for mini-ITX, micro-ATX, and ATX motherboards. You can see all the cut-outs in the motherboard tray, which are not only for cable routing, but to also support back-connect motherboards.

Towards the front of the case we of course have our three pre-installed Light Wings LX 120mm fans. These are not only set at an angle to get better intake from the front of the case, but also that angle allows them to route air directly to your GPU.
At the bottom of the case is another cooling mount which supports three 120mm fans. The cool thing about this mount is that it is recessed into the floor of the case so the fans actually sit flush with the bottom of the case.
Removing the opposite side panel we can see how the rest of the case is designed. The thing that instantly catches my attention back there is the fan and ARGB hub. This has six different fan and ARGB connections on it.

The fan and ARGB hub is actually mounted to the storage bracket, which can be fully removed from the case. This storage bracket will support two 2.5-inch drives or a single 3.5-inch drive (since the fan & ARGB hub is installed on it). Below the storage bracket is going to be your power supply mount and we do have full ATX power supply support. The cool thing about this case is that you can move the power supply up (notice that sort of shelf under the storage bracket). If you plan to use a back-connect motherboard those back connections would actually be blocked by the power supply if you mount it towards the bottom of the case. So if you move it up those connections are free and you can move the storage bracket down to the bottom of the case.

One thing that I did notice was that all of the cabling from the front of the case and the fans is all white, even the PCB of the fan and ARGB hub is white, which is a nice touch. There are also velcro ties to help organize cables on the backside of the case.
