We’ve been waiting for Cooler Master to come out with their 3D heatpipe (3DHP) CPU coolers since we got a preview of the tech earlier this year at Computex. If you aren’t familiar with 3DHP technology it essentially adds heatpipes to the center of a heatsink. In typical cooler design the heatpipes go up into the heatsink in a “U” fashion leaving the center of the cooler open. So with 3DHP you now have heatpipes coming up through the center of the cooler. This leads to more efficient cooling and better heat distribution. Of course to debut this tech they are going to use an iconic cooler, their Hyper 212! So on the test bench today we have the Hyper 212 3DHP Black ARGB, which is a single-tower, single-fan cooler that makes use of two 3D heatpipes. Let’s take a look and see what this cooler can do!
Special thanks to Cooler Master for providing us with the Hyper 212 3DHP Black ARGB CPU Cooler to review.
Packaging of the Cooler Master Hyper 212 3DHP Black ARGB CPU Cooler
Cooler Master has recently changed their packaging to a more eco-friendly design. So we have a plain cardboard box with a simple sticker letting us know we do have the Hyper 212 3DHP Black ARGB CPU Cooler. This sticker will also list all of the specifications of the cooler.

Getting everything out of the box we find the cooler, all of our mounting hardware, thermal paste, and a user’s guide.
