Cooler Master MasterAir G100M CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts
The Cooler Master MasterAir G100M is one of the most interesting CPU coolers that we’ve seen in a while. It looks like a flying UFO sitting on top of your CPU. The RGB lighting on the cooler is done right and Cooler Master even includes a controller that allows you to adjust brightness, change colors, and switch between six different modes. Have a motherboard with RGB lighting? You can connect the MasterAir G100M to the RGB header on your motherboard so all of the lights inside your system sync.

Besides looks like cooler does a pretty job with cooling. It should handle any mainstream processor running at stock speeds, but I would not suggest it for overclocked situations. The cooler will have no problem keeping your CPU temperatures in check during gaming or heavy load situations. The fan is pretty quiet too, even during full load on the CPU.

Installation of the MasterAir G100M is a little more difficult that other coolers we’ve reviewed in the past, but definitely not the hardest. You are going to likely have to remove your graphics card and I would have to say this cooler is easier installed outside of a case. With that said we were able to install the cooler inside of a case without any major issues.

The MasterAir G100M has a MSRP of $49.99, which is not bad for a cooler that looks this good, but you can find a better performing cooler for a lower price. So it is a little bit of give and take. Overall ThinkComputers gives the CoolerMaster MasterAir G100M an 8 out of 10 score.
