Cyberpunk 2077 is Now the Biggest PC Launch Ever with 8 Million Pre-Orders

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now, and it has managed to woo an impressive number of Steam users. Now let’s take a look at the exact sales figures, given by the company behind the game, CD PROJEKT RED.

Over the last few hours, the company has posted some facts on their investor relations Twitter account. Cyberpunk 2077 was able to get 8 million pre-orders. The subdivision of the pre-orders was also shared, and 59% of the pre-orders were registered on PC.

These figures also say that Cyberpunk 2077 might be the biggest PC launch of all time. This week Blizzard showed off stats for their game: World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion, the game sold 3.7 million on its launch day but 4.2 million units of Cyberpunk 2077 were sold even before the launch.

Another image provided by CD PROJEKT RED portrayed the division between the physical and digital sales of the game. The game followed the digital trend as out of its total sales; the digital sales amounted to 74% whereas the physical sales amounted to 26%.

CD PROJEKT RED also shared the news that it has been two weeks since their revenue has passed the $50 million mark As per Steam’s updated policy, the company will get 80% of the total revenue instead of the 70% or 75%(if revenue lies between 10-50 million) revenue made by the game.

In other news, the company’s stock price has dropped significantly as the review embargo will expire on Monday. Currently, the stock sells for 100 PLN ($27.4) which lower than its price three days ago, and the company witnessed an 8.54% price drop in their stocks compared to yesterday’s price.
