Fractal Design Era ITX
Taking a first look at the Era ITX we can see it has a really unique design to it. I would say that Fractal has gone with a very sleek and sophisticated look. As you can see we received the gold version of the case, but if that is not your thing Fractal offers the case in Cobalt (blue), White, Titanium Grey, and Carbon (black).
The case is extremely small with official dimensions of 325 x 166 x 310 mm and it only weighs in at only 8.75 lbs. As we mentioned earlier the volume of the case is 16 L. All of the outer panels on the case are made of aluminum so it has a quality feel to it.
Starting at the front of the case you can see the unique design as the top and bottom corners of the case sort of flair out. Located on the front of the case is a large power button, USB 3.2 gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The sides of the case are also made of aluminum and each has ventilation holes to help with cooling. You’ll notice there are no screws on the side panels, which helps Fractal Design keep the elegant look of the case.
Moving up to the top of the case we find a removable filter. You have the choice to install either the mesh or glass panel on the top of the case. We definitely prefer the glass panel on the case.
Around the back of the case we have a pretty simple design. There is a ventilated section where there is a pre-installed Fractal Design SSR3 80 mm fan, which is the only fan included with the case. The ventilated section is designed as a slit system so you can move the fan up and down to suit your needs. There is also a power connection on the back of the case and two expansion slots. Finally on the bottom of the case we have four rubber feet, which will keep the case in place on your desk.
