The RTX 30 cards with blower-type cooler have once again entered the market after their sudden disappearance.
NVIDIA’s board partners discontinued these cards back in February 2021. It was really surprising and unexpected to see how the cards disappeared from the market. Within one day, the board took down the related listings. Videocardz was asked to remove articles on their cards without a solid explanation.
Probably, the reason behind the disappearance can be that GA102 workstation cards use the same type of cooler. Since GA102 has a limited supply, NVIDIA’s customers might have switched to GeForce cards.
Luckily, the supply might improve as GALAX has recently listed a model called Turbo, identical to the RTX 3090. The card appeared alongside RTX 3080 Turbo. There were no detailed specifications for both cards.
Nothing can be said about the design change since GALAX does not publish board design photos for most of its cards. However, some minor changes have been made to the PCB design.
