GALAX is getting ready to release its RTX 4070 OC 2X graphics card, now upgraded with GDDR6 memory. The design and packaging of this new model will look exactly like the current RTX 4070, so buyers will need to carefully check the product details to tell them apart.

According to the leaked information Videocardz received, the new card will continue to use a dual-fan, dual-slot design and will be powered by a single 8-pin connector. Although the PCB design seems to match the GDDR6X version, a complete view of the PCB hasn’t been released for a detailed comparison.

According to Videocardz, the GPU will have the same specifications but will be a different version: AD104-251 instead of AD104-250. It will still feature 5888 CUDA cores.

Additional details indicate that the upcoming GALAX RTX 4070 OC 2X with GDDR6 memory will have the same GPU specs as the current model, with the main difference being the memory. The AD104-251 version will come with memory rated at 20 Gbps, compared to 21 Gbps in the current model. Both versions will continue to offer 12GB of memory on a 192-bit memory bus. The TDP for the GDDR6 variant is still under confirmation.

The RTX 4070 series, including the Ti and SUPER models, has become a bit confusing because of the numerous options. It’s important to remember, though, that not all versions are available in every market, and at least one of the listed SKUs has already been discontinued.
