Setup & Testing
Getting the MB881U3-1SA setup is pretty simple. First you are going to select the hard drive you are going to use with it. For our testing I used the OCZ Vertex 3 drive. Simple slide it in to the cradle and plug in the power and USB 3.0 cable and you are good to go.
I ran 3 separate tests on the MB881U3-1SA. First I ran HD Tune Pro (both the read and write benchmarks), then ATTO disk benchmark and finally Sandra’s physical disks benchmark. Here are the results from those tests. Keep in mind the transfer speeds will be dependent on the drive you are using.
