Installation
Getting everything installed in the 805 Infinity is quite easy. Before you start hardware installation you are going to want to install the RGB strip, because it is going to be harder to install it with all of your hardware inside. I decided to install the strip across the top of the case, down the back panel, and partly across the bottom of the case.
Now you’ll want to install your motherboard. It goes in quite easily since you have a lot of room inside to work with. I installed the Aorus Z270 Gaming 9 which is a larger motherboard with no problem at all.
The power supply is next, just slide it into the bottom of the case.
We will be installing three hard drives in this case. Two 2.5-inch drives and a single 3.5-inch drive. For the 3.5-inch drive we are installing it in the plastic tray, which means we have tool-less installation. For the two 2.5-inch drives we are installing them in the removable trays on the backside of the motherboard. We can take all three trays out of the case and easily install our drives.
I installed the longest graphics card I have in this case, which is the Zotac GeForce GTX 980 Ti AMP!. Again no issues at all, with plenty of room to spare.
Now it is time to wire everything up and organize our cables. You are going to want to try and keep things neat on the backside of the motherboard tray because you do have that tempered glass side panel. In Win does include cable organizers and ties that really help with that.
Looking at the finished product on the opposite side of the case we have a pretty clean build. I could have cleaned up things a bit better, but with minimal work I have a really clean build. I power supply cover would have really hid more of the cables, but I think that would take away from the case.
With everything installed you can turn your system on. If the RGB strips do not turn on don’t worry, you need to download and install the In Win HALO software. This software allows you to control the LEDs, change colors, set effects and more.
With the RGB lights on the thing that really stands out is the infinity mirror. This is something you have to experience in person, but it is one of the most unique things we’ve seen on a case in a very long time.
The RGB light stip inside of the case lights up your system quite well so you can show off all of your components as well.
