Lexar SL100 Pro Overview
Like most of these portable solid state drives, the SL100 Pro is pretty small. With official dimensions of 55 x 73.4 x 10.8 mm / 2.165” x 2.89” x 0.425” and weighing in at 70.5g it is easily pocketable or can be thrown in a laptop bag effortlessly.
Lexar has gone with more of a square design rather than a rectangle design we’ve seen from other drives. The drive itself has a nice aluminum finish and silver accents on each side. On the top there is a large Lexar logo.
Flipping over to the back we have another smaller Lexar logo and it lets us know the capacity, which in our case is 500GB. As of right now Lexar is offering the SL100 in 500GB and 1TB capacities.
On one end of the drive you have a USB-C connection and a small activity LED. This is the only connection on the drive itself, so the bus will be providing power to the drive. This is a USB 3.2 gen 2 connection, Lexar says this drive will have read and write speeds of 950 MB/s and 900 MB/s respectively.
