Is The MSI MPG CORELIQUID P22 360 W Liquid CPU Cooler Worth Picking Up?
The MSI MPG CORELIQUID P22 360 arrives as something extremely similar to the MPG CORELIQUID P13 that MSI released in 2025. Where the P13 chased a “premium build object” identity with a curved glass pump top and a higher price to match, the P22 feels like MSI applying those lessons more pragmatically, at a price that’s actually competitive.
Let’s start with the number that matters most to most buyers: price. The MPG CORELIQUID P22 360 carries a roughly $130 USD asking price, which lands it toward the lower end of the mainstream market and undercuts the MPG CORELIQUID P13’s launch MSRP by about sixty dollars. The P13 360, by contrast, launched at $189.99, positioning it as the more aspirational, display-focused option of the two. That gap alone reframes the comparison — the P22 isn’t trying to out-luxury the P13, it’s trying to deliver comparable performance and a similar feature set for meaningfully less.
This cost-cutting trades the IPS display of the P13 360 for an LCD without the sleek curved top. You are going to get MSI CycloBlade 7 fans instead of the CycloBlade 9 units on the P13 too. The cabling coming off the pump block does not go up into the tubing like we saw on the P13. And at least in our version of the software we could not extend our display to the display on the P22 360 like we were able to on the P13 360.
What you are left with is a very solid liquid CPU cooler with a customizable screen, good performance, and good noise levels. In our testing with the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D we only saw temperatures on PWM mode reach 64C in our CPU+FPU stress test in AIDA64 which was quite impressive. Noise levels were in check during all of our tests too.
Installation on our AMD (AM5 socket) was very easy, although it would have been nice to have a physical copy of the installation guide rather than just a QR code. While the pump cover helps hide come of the cable mess coming from the pump block, not having those cables route into the tubing leaves a little less to be desired. While I like that we now have a standalone app for this cooler instead of MSI Center, only having 4 built-in designs for the display seemed a bit limited.
