MSI is hinting at revealing new hardware next week at Gamescom. Although this event typically focuses on gaming rather than PC hardware, there have been some notable exceptions. It seems MSI plans to use this chance to introduce a new motherboard based on the Z890 chipset.
MSI previously unveiled two motherboards at Computex in June: the Z890 MAG PRO and the Z890 MPG EDGE. The Z890 MAG TOMAHAWK, known as a reliable mid-range choice in MSI’s lineup, is anticipated to be announced soon.
MSI might not use the Z890 name just yet since Intel has a naming embargo in place. This is a next-gen Intel platform that will be officially introduced once Intel is ready. At the moment, there is no scheduled launch event for the Arrow Lake, or Core Ultra 200 series, and the 800-series motherboards. Intel has only confirmed a September 3rd launch for its Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” series and has stated that the cancellation of Innovation 2024 will not impact their plans.
