MSI has finally announced its MEG 342C QD-OLED Monitor. The 34-inch QD-OLED panel combines the best of both worlds – Quantum Dot and OLED technology. This creates a stunning visual display with unparalleled picture quality and perfect pixel lighting control, resulting in a true black scene. Additionally, the panel boasts an impressive HDR peak brightness of 1000 nits, which surpasses the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. This makes for an incredibly immersive gaming experience, with lightning-fast 0.1 ms response time and a refresh rate of 175 Hz.
Quantum dot technology takes color performance to the next level compared to other OLED monitors. The colors are incredibly vibrant, and the monitor covers 97.8% Adobe RGB, 99.3% DCI-P3, and 139.1% sRGB, making it one of the best out there. In Premium Color Mode, the colors are even more vivid by default. If you switch to Professional mode, you’ll get a DELTA E value of less than 2, resulting in stunning and accurate display color that’ll make your gaming and video experiences even more immersive.
The monitor’s SpectrumBar is pretty cool – not only does it support RGB lighting effects through the Mystic light function, but it also has a new feature called Glow Sync. With Glow Sync, the light bar will automatically sync to the content that’s being displayed, which is pretty neat.
The MEG 342C QD-OLED monitor is a great option for gamers who want to connect multiple devices using KVM. It comes with several I/O ports, including built-in USB hubs, USB Type-C ports (with Power Delivery up to 65W) for charging smart devices, and 4 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. Additionally, it has 2 HDMI ports that support resolutions of up to 3440 x 1440 at 175 Hz, according to HDMI 2.1 standards. It is also compatible with the latest generation of console devices. There is no word on availability and pricing yet.
