New ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 Might Be The First Gaming Laptop With RTX 40 GPUs

ASUS created a new chassis for their renowned gaming laptop series for Intel’s 11th Gen Core series. Almost comparable in size but with a larger display, the M15 transformed into the M16. Compared to the 15.6-inch model, its chassis was slightly smaller and lighter.

The fact that it now has a quick QHD (2560 x 1600) display with a 16:10 aspect ratio is more significant. The M16’s screen is so large that it requires a 94% screen-to-body ratio. The IPS panel is Pantone calibrated and operates at a high speed of 165 Hz. The redesigned chassis and screen were the key selling features of this laptop. However, here is also where problems began to appear.

The exhaust forcing hot air directly at the screen was one of the problems identified by reviewers (the bottom bezel is very thin). According to the M16 2023 leak, nothing has changed. The webcam’s resolution was still another issue. Compared to the prior chassis, the M16 gained the camera module, which was previously unavailable on the ROG Zephyrus M-series. Even if the 2022 model has Windows Hello functionality (facial recognition for Windows OS), the 2023 model is getting an update with a new module.

You may compare the design to the 2022 (Intel Alder Lake) model. The only noticeable difference is the new camera module. The keyboard layout is different because of the different locations.

ASUS will almost certainly unveil the M16 2023 during CES 2023. All prior ROG Zephyrus M-series models used Intel hardware, as did this one. Having stated that, this laptop should be equipped with Intel 13th Gen Core H-Series CPUs and GeForce RTX 40 GPUs.
