NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Founders Edition Packaging Photos Leaked

RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti reference designs are available from NVIDIA. RedGamingTech uploaded exclusive images of the packaging for the unreleased RTX 4070 graphics card. Despite the absence of a card, NVIDIA may sell its design alongside board partners once more. However, the pictures shared verify NVIDIA’s prior intentions for the RTX 4070 Founders Edition GPU while not releasing a more powerful RTX 4070 TI variant with their own design. The absence of a card in the shown box indicates that the card was either not available at the time or that this was only a design for a possible future card.

According to another leaker (kopite7kimi), the RTX 4060 Ti, an additional AD104 GPU, may use a similar cooling. Both SKUs are anticipated to launch in the first half of 2023. It makes sense to employ an already-existing cooler and board design for two cards. The information printed on the packaging verifies that the card requires a 2×8-pin to 1×16-pin power adaptor and measures 112mm in width. Compared to the RTX 4080’s 140mm width, this Founders Edition GPU is significantly narrower.

Speculation suggests that the RTX 4070 uses an AD104-250 or AD104-251 GPU with 5888 CUDA Cores. This model will include 12GB GDDR6X memory and a 192-bit memory bus, making it identical to the RTX 4070 Ti. NVIDIA is able to reduce its power usage to 200-250W due to the reduction in core count. According to the most recent data, mass manufacturing of the AD104-250 GPU is scheduled for the second half of February, which normally results in market availability a few weeks later.
