The upcoming RTX 3070 mobile GPU was spotted in the Geekbench database by a Twitter user, APISAK. As per the listing, the GA104 GPU based RTX 3070 mobile graphic card will feature 40 Compute Units or Streaming Multiprocessors in NVIDIA’s terminology. A single Streaming Multiprocessor will feature 128 CUDA cores; thus, the total becomes 5120 CUDA cores. It will also feature 8GB GDDR6 RAM and a 256-bit memory bus.
The GPU was housed in HP Omen 15 laptop, but it remains unclear that it was the Max-P or Max-Q variant. However, the GPU frequency during the test indicates that it was a power-limited Max-Q variant.
As for the scores, the card scored 101621 and 110839 points in two separate tests securing a place between the desktop GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 SUPER series. As per Geekbench’s own OpenCL performance charts, RTX 3070 Mobile will be 30% to 41% faster than RTX 2070 Max-Q.
NVIDIA will announceits RTX 30 Mobile series at the CES 2021.
