NVIDIA Teases GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU Gaming Performance

The RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU by NVIDIA has been shown by HardwareCanucks in the latest video. This GPU has not been released yet and is based on Ampere architecture.

Reportedly, laptops featuring NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti & RTX 3070 Ti GPUs will be released tomorrow. The video released by HardwareCanucks is not a review. Reportedly, NVIDIA has sponsored this video therefore nothing much can be discussed about the results of the tests shown in the video.

The gaming benchmarks of Watch Dogs, Metro Exodus, Doom: Eternal, and COD Vanguard were given in the video. DLSS and ray tracing was also used for testing purposes. RTX 3080 Ti is being compared with RTX 2080 SUPER, keeping in mind the flagship mobile GPU of the prior generation.

In comparison, we see that RTX 3080 Ti is 40% faster than the RTX 2080S. The resolution is around 1440p with high settings used. Specifications of RTX 3080 mobile and GA104 GPU include as many as 6144 cores, a brand new GPU that is GA103S is also being featured, this one is purposely built for laptops. It possesses 7424 CUDA cores and 16GB GDDR6 memory across 256-bit by default.
