Red Dead Redemption could potentially debut on PC after 14 years since its initial release, based on recent discoveries. Tez2 shared on X/Twitter a screenshot displaying a code reference to the PC edition of the beloved Old West-inspired open-world title, originally launched in 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. However, as the source of this string remains undisclosed by Tez2, it’s advisable to approach this rumor of a PC port with caution until further details emerge.
Although the PC release of Red Dead Redemption hasn’t been officially confirmed, Rockstar Games hasn’t explicitly denied the possibility either. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, in response to the release of an updated version on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, refrained from denying its existence, stating that game announcements are at the discretion of the developer, hinting that there might indeed be something in development.
Red Dead Redemption is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, alongside its availability on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Stay tuned for updates on the speculated PC release as we endeavor to bring you the latest news as swiftly as possible.
