Previously, news had surfaced that Apple is working on redesigned MacBook Pro models to launch later in 2021. Some rumors state that Apple will reveal the product at the WWDC 2021 event. However, others expect the launch to be delayed to later in 2021 or 2022.
According to DigiTimes, Apple’s supplier, Global Lighting Technologies, will start shipping mini-LED display parts for new MacBook Pro models in Q3 2021. Currently, a paywalled review was shared with the subscribers.
The news on redesigned MacBooks models has appeared before too. During the past few months, we heard that Apple is working on a 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, which will house its custom chips. Moreover, each model will come with Apple’s mini-LED technology to provide improved contrast and color accuracy. It is expected that MacBooks will get a new design with minimal bezels.
As far as the ports are concerned, both models will have one HDMI port and a magnetic power cable. Apple is expected to drop the touch bar for physical keys. We have mentioned before that Apple might release the mini-LED based Macs later this year. However, Jon Prosser claims that Apple will announce them at its WWDC event 2021, which is scheduled for June 7.
