Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus Gen4 Solid State Drive Review

Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus Overview

The Sabrent Rocket 4 plus is your typical M.2 2280 (80mm) drive. On the main side of the drive is a large sticker that is mainly copper with black accents and of course the PCB of the drive is black. This is sort of flipped from their original Rocket drive as it had a mainly black sticker with gold accents. Definitely an easy way to tell the two drives apart as their names are similar.

The top sticker is actually a copper heatspreader, which should help with over-heating.

Flipping over to the back there is another sticker, this one white with all of your important information on it including the capacity, serial number, etc.

Removing the main sticker (which is not advised), we can see the Phison PS5018-E18 controller, a DRAM cache chip, and four Micron 96-layer TLC NAND chips.

This is a 2-sided drive so on the opposite side you have another DRAM cache chip and four more TLC NAND chips.
