Samsung has launched its newest gaming monitor, the Odyssey G80SD, which is now available for pre-sale. This monitor boasts a UHD (3840x2160p) resolution on a QD-OLED panel. The pre-sale runs from 10:00 on August 8 until 19:30 on August 14, priced at 11,079 yuan or $1550 US.
The Samsung Odyssey G80SD QD-OLED gaming monitor features a 32-inch screen with a Quantum Dot layer on the OLED panel for enhanced brightness. It offers a 240Hz refresh rate and a rapid 0.03ms GtG response time. The OLED panel delivers a high static contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and supports HDR10 for vivid detail.
Powered by Samsung’s NQ8 AI third-generation CPU, the monitor supports HDR mode, Variable Refresh Rate, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for smooth, tear-free gaming.

The display features true 10-bit color depth, allowing for 1.07 billion colors for vibrant reproduction and offers a 178/178-degree viewing angle for comfortable viewing from any position. It covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space for vivid visuals and has an anti-reflective design suitable for well-lit environments. The Samsung Odyssey G80SD QD-OLED gaming monitor includes a built-in Smart TV app for online content and supports 4K video playback, enhanced by AI dynamic improvements for optimizing moving objects.
The Odyssey G80SD offers ergonomic features including a pan range from -30 to 30 degrees, a tilt range from -2 to 25 degrees, and a vertical swivel range from -92 to 92 degrees. The monitor’s height can be adjusted from 0 to 120mm, and it can be wall-mounted using a VESA 100x100mm mount.
For connectivity, it includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4a, and a 3.5mm audio jack for audio devices or headphones. Additionally, the monitor has two USB 3.0 ports for quick peripheral connections, allowing for direct connection of a keyboard and mouse to the back of the monitor. Enhancing its aesthetics, the monitor features an RGB LED Turbo Light ring on the back, which can be customized to personal preference.
