SilverStone PF240-ARGB Liquid CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts

So what do we think of the SilverStone PF240-ARGB? As far as build quality goes, the PF240-ARGB is a solid offering. The plastic body of the CPU block does feel a bit cheap, but looks good, especially when installed. The braided tubing is flexible enough to allow for easy installation, yet stiff enough to not kink easily. The radiator is nothing special, but is a perfectly capable AIO solution, and the included 120mm fans look great and keep things quiet, thanks to their nine uniquely-shaped blades and rubber dampening pads. The included mounting hardware allows this cooler to be mounted to multiple generations of both AMD and Intel hardware, and from our installation process, makes for quick and easy installation. Offering RGB, and even ARGB lighting is almost a requirement in today’s environment, and the included lighting controller and ability to interface with compatible motherboards makes the SilverStone PF240-ARGB an enticing option.

SilverStone PF240-ARGB

Regarding performance, the PF240-ARGB fared well in our new testbed, though we don’t have much of a list compiled with this hardware just yet. There is definitely more cooling potential available when compared to standard heatsink solutions, and when you add in the low noise output from both the pump and fans, you can really see the benefit of moving to a liquid cooled system. That additional cooling performance, along with the ARGB lighting and control do add a bit of a cost to this AIO, but it definitely isn’t much, as the SilverStone PF240-ARGB is available for $99.99 from our favorite online retailer.

Overall we were impressed with the SilverStone PF240-ARGB, and award it an 8 out of 10.
