Sony shared a post celebrating its 30th anniversary ahead of the release of Astro Bot. In addition to reflecting on its journey and emphasizing the characters and stories that shaped PlayStation, the post also included a subtle teaser in the official image.

There was previously a leak indicating that Sony is already working on packaging for its upcoming console, referred to as the PlayStation 5 Pro or PS5 Pro. According to the leak, a design sketch, reportedly based on a real image of the box, showed three black stripes, in contrast to the single stripe seen on the current PS5 “Slim.”

Sony’s new image posted today appears to include a subtle teaser that aligns with the earlier reports. A small vector image in the post shows a design strikingly similar to the one mentioned in the leaks.

As for the official release, some rumors suggest that Sony might host a special event in late September, though this has not been confirmed. Sony has only hinted that more announcements are on the way soon, without specifying whether they will involve new hardware or games.

This is a great news for gamers. There’s hope that the upcoming reveal will give us our first look at the RDNA4 ray tracing features, which are rumored to be included in the new console’s specifications.
