Speck PortPack Notebook Shoulder Bag Review

Usage
So what are we going to put in the PortPack?  Usually when I work from Starbucks or somewhere else I bring my laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad Edge), power adapter, power strip, iPod, Corsair Flash Padlock 2 Flash Drive, iPhone, headphones, Kingston MobileLite G2 card reader, iPod USB cable, a book and a few pens.  Everything fits in the bag nicely, with enough room for even more gear.  The laptop compartment has a Velcro strap that allows you to secure your laptop.

The pockets on the front of the PortPack are great for your phone and MP3 player.  The left pocked is designed so headphones can stick out of it while your MP3 player is protected in the pocket.  There is even a little expandable pocket for your headphones to sit while you are not using them.

I have been using the PortPack for about 2 weeks now.  I’ve taken it with me pretty much everywhere I go.  The shoulder strap is very comfortable and carrying the bag for a long period of time is not an issue.  Also the carrying the bag from the handle works great as well.

Final Thoughts
Once again Speck has impressed us with another great product.  It seems they take as much pride in their iPhone cases as they do in their bags because the PortPack is definitely a laptop bag worth getting if you want a shoulder bag.  It is the perfect size for a shoulder bag too, it will fit laptops 15-inches or smaller and has enough room for your daily gear.

As I said before the Restart Greyscale Pixel design is very attractive and one of my favorite designs that Speck offers on their bags.  The bright green interior not only looks cool, but also makes it easy to find everything inside of the bag.

After using the bag for 2 weeks not there really isn’t anything I can say wrong about it.  It has been nice having a small, compact shoulder bag that I can take with me everywhere.  Right now the PortPack sells directly from Speck for $69.95, which is a great price for such a high quality bag.
