The flavorful screen idea, called “Taste the TV” (TTTV), uses tanks of different flavors which are sprayed into a mixture to imitate all popular foods. The mixture is then applied onto a very hygienic film on the screen of the TV to be tried out. The invention could be of great use for cooks, critiques and food enthusiasts. A commercial version of this screen is expected to have a making cost of around 100000 yen($875). This makes it pretty much affordable. After all, it was designed with the idea that everyone could have one in their home.
