Performance Comparison
To see how the EX2 Elite SSD compares to other 2.5″ SATA SSDs, we put together some graphs with a few of our benchmarks. The benchmarks we compared results for were the ATTO Disk Benchmark, CrystalDiskMark 7, AS SSD, and Anvil’s Storage Utility Pro, the 100% Incompressible test. The drives we used to compare to the EX2 Elite SSD were the 960 GB Crucial BX500, a 512 GB ADATA SU800, a 1 TB ADATA SU750, and a 512 GB T-Force Vulcan G SSD
In Anvil’s Storage Utility Pro, the EX2 Elite SSD fell just behind the T-Force Vulcan G SSD and the ADATA SU800. However, it beat out the ADATA SU750 and the Crucial BX500.
Like in Anvil, the EX2 Elite SSD fell just short of the T-Force Vulcan G SSD and the ADATA SU800. Again, the EX2 Elite SSD beat out the BX500 and SU750.
In the ATTO Disk Benchmark, the EX2 Elite SSD came in ahead of the SU750, but behind the BX500, SU800, and the Vulcan G SSD. However, the EX2 Elite SSD was just behind the Vulcan G SSD on the read speed.
In CrystalDiskMark, the EX2 Elite SSD ran neck and neck with the other four drives we tested. Although it came in fourth out of the five drives, the read speeds for all five drives were very close.
