Viotek GN24C 24-inch Curved 1080p 144 Hz Monitor Review

Final Thoughts
Viotek has once again showed up with another solid display when it comes to performance. The GN24C checks all of those important boxes when it comes to a gaming display. You have a 24-inch (Samsung made) VA panel with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate and is FreeSync compatible. And it delivers that performance, during our game testing the playback was buttery smooth and there was no ghosting or screen-tearing. Also there was not a single dead pixel on this display, something many people worry about when buying from a not so well known brand.

As I mentioned earlier 24-inches is pretty much perfect for serious gamers. You can look directly at the display and not have to move your head to see everything. You don’t think about it but that fraction of a second to move your head could be a missed headshot or you being killed.

Now this display lacks some things that you find on more expensive displays. There is no USB hub and the stand does not have any cable management. Talking about the stand, at least on ours the stand was quite wobbly. Now when you have the display sitting on the stand you really don’t have much to worry about, but compared to the exact same style stand we saw on the GN27D, this one is not that great at all. Also we did notice when we went to adjust the settings using the buttons under the monitor pressing them would cause the monitor to tilt, making it so we had to readjust our monitor each time. The stand does not offer any height or swivel adjustment either, just a tilt up or down.

At the end of the day this is another solid display from Viotek. The stand could be better quality or at least fit together better, but as I said it is not a big deal once you have the display sitting on it. Right now you can pick up this display at our favorite online retailer for $219.99. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Viotek GN24C 24-inch Curved 1080p 144 Hz Monitor an 8 out of 10 score.
