Final Thoughts
Had we looked at this monitor pre-2020, we would have come to the same conclusions performance-wise, but would probably not appreciated the flexibility that this portable monitor offers. With the need for so many people to find alternative working solutions, a secondary external monitor that is lightweight and portable is now a very handy piece of technology. Being able to gain additional productivity thanks to a secondary monitor, and to be able to quickly pack it up and move work spaces just adds to the list of benefits. Companies are still working hard to outfit their employees with equipment to work at home, and sometimes that home environment is constantly changing, giving more value to the flexibility that the Zissu’s 15.6″ portable monitor offers. Being USB-powered allows for the use of existing phone chargers and USB-C cables, and HDMI connectivity means this monitor is compatible with a plethora of devices.
Our use of the monitor was mostly in a productivity environment, where it added additional screen real estate for our work-at-home needs. And while 15.6″ is by no means a large screen, it is a fairly common laptop screen size, and will pair nicely with many monitors. When connected to our gaming laptop or console, the monitor provided for a perfectly acceptable experience, though those that are coming from a high refresh rate screen will immediately be able to tell. That being said, the portability of this screen is great, and we could see it being a blessing for parents with kids in the car when hooked up to a Nintendo Switch – something that we plan to test in the very near future.
