Antec is preparing to release a new gaming handheld device, with AYANEO serving as the OEM supplier. This upcoming product will be based on AYANEO’s Slide, which was introduced last November and features a sliding screen and a full physical keyboard.
Antec has collaborated with AYANEO to unveil a rebranded iteration of the Slide handheld, tentatively named “Core HS.” Based on available images, the Core HS closely mirrors the original design, with the only discernible alteration being the addition of a new logo.
The Core HS will include a 6-inch, 1080p screen that can tilt at a 30-degree angle and slide up to expose a keyboard. It will be powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor, featuring an 8-core Zen 4 APU with 12 RDNA3 Compute Units, operating within a power range of 15 to 28W.
Antec intends to debut the Core HS in Europe and North America during June and July. During its initial crowdfunding phase, the original AYANEO Slide was priced at $699, with a retail price of $899. The Core HS is anticipated to have a similar pricing structure, ranging from $600 to $900.
