AOKZOE has introduced the A2 Ultra handheld in China. While it’s available through regular retail outlets like T-Mall, the downside is its relatively high price tag.
The A2 Ultra marks the second Intel handheld to showcase the Core Ultra CPU series. Although it’s not on shelves yet, preorders have commenced in China. Global availability remains uncertain, with AOKZOE’s social media channels currently subdued.
The A2 Ultra follows the “A2,” which sported an AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor based on Phoenix silicon with Zen4 and RDNA3 architecture. The Ultra, on the other hand, features an Intel CPU and is available in two variants: the Core Ultra 7 155H, boasting 16 cores with 8 GPU Xe-Cores, or the 14-core Core Ultra 5 125H with 7 GPU Xe-Cores. Similar to the MSI Claw, offering two Meteor Lake CPUs, the 7 Xe-Core version of the A2 Ultra could potentially offer robust performance at a more affordable price point.
The device boasts a 7-inch display and is available with either 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X-7467 memory. It is compatible with standard M.2 2280 storage utilizing PCIe Gen4x4 specifications.
The pricing for the 64GB RAM variant has not been confirmed by the company yet, but it is expected to be available later. In comparison to the MSI Claw, the AOKZOE A2 Ultra may not be seen as a significant upgrade. Coupled with its limited availability and absence of official global sales (as of now), it’s probable that it will be less popular than the MSI handheld.
