ASUS Launches Its First Radeon RX 7900 XTX Card Featuring Two Fans

It’s been more than eighteen months since AMD launched its Radeon RX 7900 GPUs. What’s intriguing is that while some companies are reducing their Radeon GPU ventures, others are capitalizing on the opportunity. ASUS has just unveiled two new Radeon GPUs, which might not seem new initially but are actually their latest offerings.

These new models feature sleek appearance, sporting just two fan solutions. Interestingly, the design is borrowed from models like the RX 6750 XT DUAL, yet there was no DUAL card in the RX 6800/6900 series. What’s even more intriguing is that what you’re seeing is the very first RX 7900 XTX with only two fans, excluding the liquid-cooled solution.

Not to forget, the 7900 XT boasts the Navi 31 GPU and 5376 Stream Processors. It packs 20GB of GDDR6 memory and draws power from three 8-pin connectors, demanding a 750W PSU. On the other hand, the Navi RX 7900 XTX houses the Navi 31 XTX GPU with 6144 Stream Processors, 24GB of GDDR6 memory, and also needs 3 connectors, but it’s recommended to pair it with an 850W power supply.

Regarding specifications, the 7900 XT DUAL OC operates at a game clock of 2175 MHz and a boost clock of 2535 MHz in OC mode. By default, it comes with clocks set at 2075 MHz and 2450 MHz, respectively. The OC settings essentially denote how ASUS promotes the maximum overclocking clock achievable through software (GPU Tweak 3). As for the 7900 XTX model, it boasts a game clock of up to 2455 MHz and a boost clock of 2615 MHz.

Both cards have dimensions of 32.2 x 14.7 x 5.8 cm, standing at 2.95 slots high. They share identical display connectors, offering users one HDMI 2.1 port and three DisplayPort 2.1 connectors. The timing of this release is intriguing, and the cooler choice only adds to the curiosity. Listings for these new cards are already surfacing in Europe at exorbitant prices, hardly worth mentioning.
