Dark Rock Pro 2 Overview
First impression of the cooler is that it’s big, dark, and well made from high quality materials. If there is one theme that I’m picking up from be quiet! it is that they know how to manufacture a quality product.
As mentioned the cooler is a dual vertical heatsink and it has 7 massive heat pipes running through them to pass thermals into the fins. The pipes and base are nickel plated copper, while the fins and brushed black top are aluminum.
The fins themselves have a wave design to help keep sound to a minimum. For fans this cooler is equipped and pre installed with 1, 120mm fan on the outside and to give you sense of the scale of this cooler that is a 135mm fan in the middle! Both fans are PWM controlled, meaning you can control their speed using software, and only require a single motherboard header to power them.
Finally, the base of the cooler (nickel plated copper) is very thick and comes with an excellent highly reflective polish.
