We have been talking a lot about Fallout 4, but Activision’s Call of Duty 3: Black Ops made a crazy amount of money its first 72 hours on sale. How crazy? How does $550 million sound! That’s not bad for 72 hours!
Activision has also said that the game is performing much better than previous installments of Black Ops, with gamers racking up over 75 million hours combined playtime from Friday to Sunday. Activision’s Eric Hirshberg said that the “engagement per player”, a number that refers to the amount of time a player spends on the game, is the highest in the history of the Call of Duty franchise.
