At Computex 2023, Cooler Master unveiled their latest power supply units (PSUs), namely the X Silent series Max and Edge PSUs. These new models are designed to be extremely quiet and feature a fanless design. They are expected to be released in the near future. Additionally, Cooler Master also introduced high-quality 12VHPWR 90 degree cables that offer improved performance compared to standard cables.
The X Series Max PSU is designed to be “near-silent” by incorporating a low-speed RGB fan that can support higher wattage while keeping the noise level at a mere 20dB. It will be available in various models, including a powerful 1300 W version, and utilizes a single-piece heat dissipation structure. On the other hand, the X Series Edge PSU is an entirely fanless model, offering a unique set of features such as an extended fan cover to improve airflow, vapor chamber technology, and the same single-piece heat dissipation structure. The X Series Edge is capable of delivering up to 750 W of power.
The X Series PSUs, including the X Series Max and X Series Edge, are both compliant with ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 standards. They come equipped with 12VHPWR cables and support Cooler Master’s MasterControl software, enabling users to monitor temperature, current load, and overall performance. In addition, Cooler Master introduced new 12VHPWR cables featuring a 90-degree angle to prevent unnecessary bending. These cables also feature an upgraded connector design with double springs and thicker wires, resulting in improved performance compared to previous cables. Furthermore, the upgraded design helps reduce connector temperatures by approximately 5 degrees.
