Intel Core i9-12900K sale has already begun ahead of its launch.
A Redditor user Seby9123 has managed to get his hands on two retail Intel Core i9-12900K processors 2 weeks before the launch.
At the time of the launch of Rocket Lake CPUs in March, a German retailer started to sell new CPUs almost a month before the official launch. This is how the embargo was breached at that time.
Similarly, Seby9123 claims to have been successful in ordering not only one but two Core i9-12900K CPUs about 2 weeks before the launch. The CPUs were reportedly purchased at 610 USD. The buyer, however, did not reveal the name of the retailer who was the breacher of the embargo. He has also shown us the complete unboxing of the processors. The CPU features a small (fake) wafer, giving it a great overall look.
Intel Core i9-12900K is the flagship Alder Lake-S CPU. It is anticipated to be launched on October 27th. However, the pre orders will be initiated on the same day but will not be fulfilled till November 4th.
