Software & Lights
Glorious does back up the GMMK with software. You can easily download it from their website, please note that the keyboard will work fine without software, but if you want to do any customization you’ll need to download and install the software.
When you first open the software up you’ll be shown an overview of the keyboard and be able to edit the lighting effects. There are while a lot of pre-made effects like your rainbow waves, breathing, etc. You can also select custom from the drop-down and completely customize the lighting on the keyboard as you do get per-key lighting options.
As far as the lighting goes it is your typical RGB lighting. It is definitely bright enough and this keyboard is going to look quite good sitting on your desk.
Going back to the software oddly enough you have to click on “Disabled” to disable the RGB lighting to reprogram the keyboard. Once you click “disabled” you can click on each key and edit its function. You have the ability to remap each key to another key on your keyboard, a macro, or a media function. There is a macro editor as well, which allows you to create and store your macros.
While not the best software we’ve seen for a keyboard, it is functional.
