According to updated price charts on 3DCenter.org, the prices of AMD RDNA2 and NVIDIA Ampere cards have seen a gradual fall. The update came in January 2022 for the second time.
A recent analysis says that the AMD Radeon RX 6000 and GeForce RTX 30 cost is eventually going down as seen for the second time this month. GeForce RTX 30 cards are now ‘only’ 177% as compared to 185 percent more expensive from the original price. On the other hand, AMD cards’ price reduction is from 178% to 167%.
This makes it clear that this fall in price doesn’t have anything to do with the crypto coin crash. Though the future price is going to be interesting.
Ethereum( coin for crypto mining) has fallen to its lowest value so far from Aug, 21. This implies that future graphics card buys may not prove to be beneficial. This might take a long time to produce sufficient income from mining to pay off the graphics cards.
Radeon RX 6500XT and GeForce RTX 3050 have been recently introduced by AMD and NVIDIA. Both of these are entry level GPUs.
As the 3DCenter recently updated the prices, NVIDIA has also just raised the cost for the reference designs in Europe. Due to this, the price by 3DCentre may be updated again. To adjust this fact, the website is now showing US MSRP’s converted into Euro with extra VAT involved. However, this analysis only incorporated data from German and Austrian retailers. This information is not applicable across the globe but is still the most appropriate cost analysis data.
