LG To Announce 27-inch QHD OLED Gaming Display With 480Hz Refresh Rate At CES 2024

LG has announced the successful development of a 27-inch 480Hz QHD display utilizing OLED technology. The official presentation of this groundbreaking monitor is scheduled for CES 2024 next week. Geared towards gamers, the display boasts the industry’s first QHD 480Hz experience, featuring an impressive response time of 0.03ms. With OLED technology and a 2560×1440 resolution at the highest refresh rate in the industry, it is poised to make a significant impact within the gaming community.

The LG Display is set to release the monitor in the first half of the year, offering a hands-on experience for attendees at CES 2024 next week. Additionally, LG will introduce a range of OLED monitors in sizes 27, 31.5, 34, 39, and 45 inches. This move marks the company’s official entry into the high-end gaming monitor market.

Within its 30-inch category, the company provides a diverse range of products, including OLED technology displays in sizes of 32 and 39 inches, as well as ultra-wide monitors. The OLED gaming monitor sector is witnessing increased competition, with various companies vying for market share. While the adoption of the smaller 480Hz panel by other companies is anticipated in the future, it may take some time before it extends to the ‘affordable’ segment.

“To strengthen our leadership in the high-end gaming display market, we will continue to harness the power of OLED’s distinctive qualities such as ultra-high refresh rates, fast response times, and perfect black for next-level viewing experiences,”
