MSI Announces GeForce RTX 4060 Gaming Duke In China

MSI hasn’t introduced a new Duke graphics card in quite some time. The latest release, belonging to the RTX 20 series, was built on the Turing architecture. Despite its history dating back to the GTX 10 models, the Duke series has typically catered to budget-conscious consumers, filling the gap between the Ventus and Gaming series. However, with the introduction of the higher-tier SUPRIM series, there’s been less motivation for MSI to expand the Duke lineup further.

It’s important to mention that the Gaming Duke series is specifically tailored for the Chinese market and is not aimed at global consumers. The latest model is exclusively available on MSI’s Chinese website.

Moreover, The Gaming Duke represents MSI’s first triple-fan design, featuring the RTX 4060. While several companies, such as Gigabyte, have adopted triple-fan configurations even for lower-powered RTX 40 cards, MSI has predominantly stuck with dual-fan designs for its RTX 4060 lineup. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that this marks the 15th design iteration based on the RTX 4060.

The Duke employs an annular fan blade design and incorporates 0dB technology to remain silent when the card is under light load. It maintains a dual-slot design and provides four display connectors, consisting of three DP 1.4a ports and one HDMI 2.1a port. Additionally, the Duke is equipped with a full metal backplate on the rear side.

This card doesn’t come with factory overclocking, but MSI assures that it’s overclockable using MSI Center and Afterburner software. Currently, MSI hasn’t announced or listed any other Duke models. However, given their track record and the similarities between the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti, it’s probable that more Duke GPUs will be unveiled in the future.
