Gigabyte’s debut of theRTX 4080 SUPER XTREME ICE wasn’t a joke for April Fool’s Day after all. They are genuinely launching new hardware tailored for enthusiasts, all adhering to a cohesive design theme. One notable characteristic throughout this lineup is the primarily white design with gold embellishments, appealing to affluent gamers.

Among the recently unveiled products is Intel’s Z790 chipset-based motherboard. Embracing the XTREME X ICE design philosophy, the board showcases white, silver, and gold details. Notably, the LGA1700 socket itself is gold-plated. A transparent enclosure shields the CPU and memory modules, mimicking a monoblock for water cooling, yet it seems to be a detachable plastic cover.

The motherboard features a single PCIe Gen5 x16 slot and a substantial heatsink designed for the AORUS NVMe SSD. It’s noteworthy that all connectors are angled, which could either simplify or complicate cable management, depending on the case utilized.

Another remarkable aspect is the incorporation of a display on the VRM cover, reminiscent of the original Z790 AORUS XTREME.

However, it’s crucial to note that the availability of these components will be exceedingly restricted. As per a statement from Gigabyte’s Vietnam Sales Manager, only 300 bundles consisting of the motherboard, graphics card, and CPU cooler will be manufactured.
