Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition Power Supply Spotted At Computex 2024

Just before the official start of Computex 2024, Seasonic’s new power supply was spotted on the show floor. The company is preparing to launch a power supply with an unusual brown color scheme, a signature of Noctua-branded products. In collaboration, Seasonic and Noctua have introduced the PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition PSU.

The original PRIME 1600W power supply features a 135mm fan, whereas the Noctua version incorporates a smaller NF-A12x25 fan, renowned for its high quality and low noise levels. Additionally, the power supply has an optimized fan grill, allowing it to operate 8 to 10 dB(A) quieter than the original version.

The PSU offers semi-passive operation, meaning the fan remains off until your system reaches a 50% load or the ambient temperature hits 25°C. This design ensures nearly silent operation under light loads, with the fan gradually activating as system demands rise.

The power supply complies with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards and includes a 12V-2×6 connector for high-end graphics cards. Its fully modular design, complete with Noctua-themed cables, helps maintain a clean and organized build. With an efficiency of 94% at 50% load, this PSU holds both 80 PLUS Titanium and Cybernetics ETA Titanium certifications, ranking it among the most efficient on the market. It is anticipated to be available in Q4 2024.
