Compact PC cases that support full-size hardware seem to be the most popular cases these days and it is easy to understand why. I’ve been using a compact case for the last few years and absolutely love it. These as I said allow for full-size hardware in a pretty small footprint. The tricky part has been cooling as you are stuffing some pretty powerful hardware in a small space and a lot of the time the cooling options are limited. be quiet! wants to change that with their Light Base 500 LX, which features a unique angled slide-out fan frame on the side routes air directly to the GPU. On top of that the case ships with four Light Wings LX 120mm fans and overall the case will support up to 10 fans. Inside you of course have support for ATX motherboards, graphics cards up to 400mm in length, and full-size power supplies. Let’s take a look and see what this case is all about!
Special thanks to be quiet! for providing us with the Light Base 500 LX Case to review.

Packaging of the be quiet! Light Base 500 LX Case
The Light Base 500 LX comes in your standard PC case box. On the front we have a diagram of the case and on the back we get an exploded view of the case.

Opening the box up we find the case nicely protected and all of the panels have film on them so they won’t get scratched up.
