For all of those waiting for the next Grand Theft Auto game it looks like it won’t be coming out till 2025. According to Tom Henderson the timeline for what we expect will be called GTA 6 has been pushed pretty far back possibly because the extensive amount of voice-over and motion capture work that goes into a game such as Grand Theft Auto. Also in the wake of the disastrous Cyberpunk 2077 launch it seems Rockstar wants to take their time to get things right.
Another factor could be the increased scrutiny from gamers on studios that overwork their employees to finish a game in time for launch (known as the crunch). In the past Rockstar has been accused of crunching, most recently with Red Dead Redemption 2.
It has been reported that GTA 6 will be based around a modern-day version of Vice City. There are also rumors that the game will have evolving maps (much like Fortnite & Apex Legends) which should make things interesting.
